We bring our InFounders methodology to foster deep care amongst participants, which then creates a deluge of generosity.
Without a doubt, connections happen. Participants develop a sense of meaningful belonging toward one another.
Conversations are constructive and go beyond strategy and tactics. They dive into leadership, personal growth, and well-being – often the true inhibitors of success.
Our Masterminds start with powerful activities inspired by Dr. Brené Brown’s findings.
Participants practice creating a safe space where they can be seen for who they truly are, not who they want to be.
They develop deep human connections, empathy, and care for one another.
They truly want to be there for one another and have each other’s back.
Feeling safe, participants share deeper and more vulnerable challenges (e.g., root cause issues).
They are more open to being introspective and to having a growth mindset.
It sets the stage for high impact conversations.
We have developed problem-solving techniques that help have productive conversations.
These new communication skills become key leadership assets for participants.

FAQ
How is a Mastermind different from mentoring?
1. In Mastermind groups, everyone serves as both mentor and mentee, fostering a dynamic, two-way support system.
2. Seeing how everyone acts a mentor, we teach participants communication and leadership skills to have fruitful discussions. The goal is less to have the group come up with the perfect answer, but rather to help peers step out of their echo chamber and think through their options.
3. Unlike traditional mentoring, Mastermind peers share common struggles, forging deep connections through mutual empathy. For instance, in women’s Mastermind groups, mothers dealing with work-life balance find unique understanding among their peers.
Is it the same participants who meet?
Yes, the same 6 to 7 participants will keep meeting during the length of their Mastermind.
How long does a Mastermind last?
Masterminds typically last between 4 to 12 months.
How do you group participants together? (Is curation important?)
Curation is indeed important.
For Masterminds to work, it needs a solid foundation of trust.
Part of this trust is what an InFounders facilitator builds with the group, but the other part comes from bringing together the right people.
The core elements to consider are:
- No competitors
- Only one person per company
- Similar business stages together (all businesses should have traction – no ideation)
- Except if someone has previous entrepreneurship experience
Did you create Masterminds?
No, they have been around for quite some time.
Their origin tends to be traced back to Napoleon Hill’s 1937 best seller: “Think and Grow Rich”.
His book shares his findings after spending twenty years studying the most influential entrepreneurs of his era, including Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, J.P. Morgan, J.D. Rockefeller, Alexander Graham Bell, and Thomas Edison.
In his research, Hill discovers “master mind alliances”.
He notices that these behind-the-scene groups enable entrepreneurs to share their knowledge, connections, and resources, which gives them a tremendous advantage.
Since then, numerous Mastermind groups (sometimes called “forums”) have come into existence and many current prominent CEOs praise their Masterminds for their success.
Where do they meet?
Our Masterminds are held online.
However, if you are interested in offering Masterminds in person, we can see if we have an InFounders facilitator in your region or if it is possible to have someone from your team become a certified InFounders Mastermind facilitator.
